HYDRAPORE 5000
Hydrapore is a high-tech waterproof, breathable membrane built into the outer fabric layer. Hydrapore technology was specifically designed to provide maximum protection against extreme weather conditions. The HYDRAPORE membrane has an amazing 5000mm/5000g/m2 waterproof rating.
Footnote: waterproofing values for membrane fabrics can vary depending on temperature.
Non-breathable-waterproof-breathable.
THERMADEX
Thermadex thermal insulation material is designed for use in outdoor clothing where low weight, low volume and maximum heat retention are critical features. Thermadex provides a high level of thermal insulation to clothing for such activities as skiing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing etc. Thermadex insulation provides clothing with warmth, softness and breathability without being bulky.
Microfiber.
Thin and dense without being bulky.
Ultra lightweight.
Breathable.
SUREFLOTE
Sureflote material is made of low-density polyurethane foam that retains air in closed pores consisting of a multi-layer membrane and creating air pockets for extra buoyancy. The Sureflote membrane resists moisture and provides superior mobility combined with added protection from the cold. A jacket and dungaree suit with SUREFLOTE helps an average person float for up to two hours in a dip. The average adult needs 3 to 5 kg of additional positive buoyancy in order to swim with their head above water. Suits made with Sureflote material are designed to provide 4 to 5 kg of buoyancy, depending on size and model.
Important: Sureflot is not approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and is not considered a personal flotation device. Also, a suit using SUREFLOTE material may not be fully effective in water with strong currents. Sureflote does not provide protection against hypothermia in extremely cold water.
Undergarments with Effective Drainage System.
Exclusive, patent pending system to allow water to drain away quickly from wet clothing. Features mesh inserts at the hem and sleeves of jackets as well as the bottom of dungarees. This design ensures that any liquid trapped between layers of waterproof membranes drains away, even when your suit is just hanging on the rack. Even the most premium waterproof, breathable fabric takes some time to completely get rid of body-evaporated moisture trapped inside a jacket or dungaree. This is especially noticeable in the cold. Just imagine how much sweat can accumulate between the layers of the fishing suit after long walks, drilling holes and hours of fishing! But more importantly, the drainage system also works when you happen to be an ice swimmer. Imagine trying to scramble back up onto a slippery ice floe while you're being pulled back by about 20 liters of water poured into your suit! Striker's water drainage system gives you that extra sense of security.
Thermal Efficiency Score.
Striker uses the relative heat index of its products to tell you more about how warm your clothing is. Since everyone has an individual sensitivity to the cold, such a designation can be very helpful in choosing the right winter gear. Clothing with a score of 10 out of 10 is the warmest of what Striker offers.
It is also worth remembering that clothes sewn with Sureflote material provide more protection from extremely cold weather conditions. In addition, the proper selection of thermal underwear and lower layers of insulating clothing plays a significant role in keeping you warm.
