The lynx is a typical cat, although the size of a larger dog, which in part resembles it in its shortened body and long leggedness.
Lynx is a valuable commercial species of fur-bearing animals. Its numbers throughout its range are small, so the skins of this animal are very highly valued.
Their length is 125-130 cm; the tail is short, 10-20 cm. The fur is of medium height, soft and fluffy. Covering hair slightly protrudes over the down. Characteristic features are short black tassels on the ears and black tip of the tail.
Lynx hides are used primarily for sewing fur coats, collars, and hats.
The production of hunting trophies: stuffed animals and carpets is becoming increasingly popular.
